Universal English High School Goregaon West had organized an Exhibition, "Young Explorer" on Friday 30th September 2016. The aim of the exhibition was to bring the talents of Young students to limelight. The school had put up an array of exhibits in the school auditorium. After several weeks of hard work on the part of the students as well as the teachers, the exhibition turned out to be a roaring success.
The exhibition was inaugurated by the Principal of the school, Mrs. Sheila Seth. The opening theme of the event was Save Earth, which was depicted by a working model of Earth. A replica of the missile Agni and BrahMos was beautifully made by the students.
Students of Nursery to 10th standard participated and explored their brilliant ideas. The exhibition covered the three main fields: Science, History and Geography.
There were working models, charts and power point presentations of these exhibits, which were explained by the students as well.
Working models of solar panels, wind mill, biogas, solar system, volcanic eruption and 3d models of Shivaji’s life history, Boston tea party, Dandi march, etc. were notable.
There was also a work experience section wherein students had made useful items from waste material at home. Handmade candles, cushion made out of t shirt, handmade torch, miniature garden with old basket, Clamming glitter jar out of jam bottle, etc. were on display.
The projects were judged by eminent professor, Mrs. Goswami who gave valuable feedback to the students. Feedback board was kept for the parents to write their constructive feedback.
An official of the school, Mr. Millind Seth said,
"The exhibition presented all students with a great opportunity to showcase their talent and to elicit the creativity in the young Explorers of Universal English High School."
By and large it was an enriching and enlightening event.
